Deathlok returns!
for real? yeah apparently! Fan favorite Deathlok will be returning to Marvel in his vary own 7 issue mini-series. Slated to set place in the future where 'Lok will be all on his own (no other marvel U heroes running around) in a world where military combat has become entertainment...very "Running Man". Written by Charlie Huston of Moon Knight fame and hyper realistic artist Lan Medina of Punisher fame, this promises to be marvels premier Sci-Fi book. Word is that the story was written and completed a year ago and that 6 issues will already be in the bag by issue #1 hits...will marvel actually release all issues on time?!?
With characters like Ghost Rider and Punisher carving their own genres i hope this one will be just as good!

What to read after 100 Bulletts? SCALPED!
Hey all, the last TPB of 100 Bullets has hit...and many of you are probably looking for something to read with the same flavor. Are you in luck...because Jason Aaron's Scalped is just for you! It's got that same Noir feel of 100 Bullets and then you add a little Western flavor.
You follow Dashiell Bad Horse who has long left the poverty and pits of his Reservation but now returns 15 years later with a major bad attitude. Trained in Jeet Kune Do (bruce Lee's art) and weilding a set of nunchucks he sets about causing all kinds of ruckus. He finds a new glimmering casino on "the Rez" and it's people overcome by crime and corruption. Has he returned help or just get his peice of the pie??!
Jason Aaron (Ghost Rider, Wolverine: Weapon X) is one of my new favorite writers and art by R.M. Guera has a really good feel to it staying in nice dark brownish earth tones.
check it out! DC even posts the entire 1st issue on their site so you can check it out!

Watchmen on DVD and Bluray
Hey all, watch out cause WATCHMEN is out on DVD and blu-ray this coming Tuesday (July 21st). You'll get your chance to see the brand new DIRECTOR'S CUT!
And if you don't already have a copy of the TPB be sure to get that...cause you probably want to be flipping though as you watch the DVD...and if you've never read it before...then what the heck are you waiting for?!?! GET IT!!
And if you have read watchmen...then i've got a recommendation for you...while you can go the typical route and try more Alan Moore stuff...like Batman: The Killing Joke...why not try another great book Planetary.
Planetary is a good take on modern super heroes and definitely is worth checking out!
"This graphic novel features the adventures of Elijah Snow, a hundred-year-old man, Jakita Wagner, an extremely powerful woman, and The Drummer, a man with the ability to communicate with machines. Tasked with tracking down evidence of super-human activity, these mystery archaeologists uncover unknown paranormal secrets and histories, such as a World War II supercomputer that can access other universes, a ghostly spirit of vengeance, and a lost island of dying monsters."

Savage Sword of Conan
Oh yeah! it's Conan! After catching Conan the Destroyer this weekend i felt it time to read some good old conan stuff. So we're putting in some restock orders for Savage Sword of Conan!
Those of you not familiar with the series...it was originally published as a magazine...and since it was done as so it meat they didn't have to confirm to the Comics Code! So what's that mean? umm...Mature readers only! so naturally many creators and artists chose this format! check out the list of greats that appear in the first volume:
Barry Windsor-Smith
John Buscema
Alfredo Alcala
Jim Starlin
Al Milgrom
Pablo Marcos
Walter Simonson
Dark Horse was great enough to finally publish these in a great omnibus style format, which each volume kicking in at around 500 pages...all for only $17.95 US ($21.99 CAD)
There are 5 volumes out now, and 6 on the way in August! so if anybody want's a Conan fix like me, be sure to let heroes world Staff know to save you some copies!

Good stuff you probably aren't reading - INK
Hey all, here's another great book that most likely you aren't reading or even thought of picking up. It's part of the Final Crisis Aftermath arcs...but i really dosen't have much to do with Final Crisis.
Meet Mark Richards, The Tattooed Man, formally a villan but in the wake of Final Crisis he finds himself for the first time trying to be a hero. Mark is trying to go on the straight and narrow and become a icon in his home town Liberty Hill...also known a Liberty Hell!! Known for gang violence and corrupt cops Mark has quite a task ahead of him...and now something new as come up...some of his tattoos seem to have taken on a life of their own!
Written by newcomer Eric Wallace, who you may know from TV's Eureka, and painted art by Fabrizio Florentino, which looks amazing! Issue 1 and 2 are are the shelf now and 3 hits July 29th.

Blackest Night begins!
Hey all! Don't miss out on the very first part of Blackest night crossover this week! while it's not the actual Blackest Night #1, it's listed as the prologue to the entire event...and well Green Lantern has just been awesome lately! I'm talking about Green Lantern #43! It'll be GL vs the Black Hand, and you'll see how the whole Black Lanterns get's started!
Also while not listed on the Blackest Night checklist, i would also recommend the latest Green Lantern Corps that came out last week for another nice companion piece. The book as been in Green Lantern's shadow with all the crazyness going on, but it's just as solid a read...if you want to follow up on what Kyle, Guy and all the other GLC are dealing with. Here's a bit of crazyness...they start executing Sinestro Corps!! that's nuts! and you do see the apperance of the Black Lantern Rings at the end! so don't miss out on this one as well!
